Bronze This level of subrace is allowed to be played by anyone. You do not need to speak with a DM about playing any of these races, and may create any listed under Bronze freely. Gold Any subrace gold level or higher must be requested prior to creation. The reason for this is to avoid a large flood of 'special snowflakes', and to insure that these subraces are played properly on the server. We encourage being unique, and creative. We're not looking for a cardboard cut-out of the race you choose, so feel free to bring your own ideas forward in your request. With that said, we would appreciate it if you respected these subraces. For example; Tiefling are more often than not evil, with very few exceptions. Also note that creating a subrace gold level or higher does not mean that they have to be 'special'. Not every Tiefling has to be good to feel unique and creative. We appreciate the classics just as much as 'out of the box' ideas. With all of that said, playing an ECL race is very hard. You gain Experience much slower than those without an adjusted ECL. Please keep this in mind when you make the character. Feytouched Aasimar Tiefling

Platinum Platinum level is the highest level of request. We need to know that you understand how this race works, and will 'respect their lore'. Races on this level will be held at a higher standard. We expect those who play these subraces to have a deeper understanding of how they should act, and their racial history. Our goal with this level is to not only insure that everyone stands a fair chance at playing the races they know and love, but to make the server a lore-friendly place. We may be fairly picky when it comes to these races, but don't let that discourage you from applying. Even if you're not accepted at first, we will take the time to help you fix whatever might be holding you back. It is our job to make sure all races of Gold level and higher are up to the servers standard. Banned Banned subraces are not allowed to be played whatsoever. They will not be considered at all, should they be requested on the forums. If a race that you want to play is on this list, please feel free to contact any DM for an explanation as to why it is unavailable on the server. Vampire Undead (Of any kind) Pure Bloods (Fey, Dragon, Fiends, etc) Characters under the age of 18
(Any character who claims to be under the age of 18 will not be tolerated whatsoever. If you would like to apply for one, you can do so on the forums but expect to be denied. In very rare cases we may allow a 'child' to be played, but it's more likely to be denied than accepted as this is not the type environment we want to provide here)

Note: Custom Races will be considered platinum level requests. These will take longer to be accepted as they may require lore-checks by the DM team, as well as balances for the server. Things such as Celestials will never be accepted, because they are far too strong to be on the server. When you request a 'custom race', please be mindful of the setting. This is a low-magic zombie survival with a level 8 cap. It wouldn't make much sense to step into a safe house and sit next to a pure blooded demon roasting a chicken. For good measure, anything above a +2 ECL will likely not be accepted on the server. It's far too powerful for such a low-magic setting.

Note: Please keep in mind that any and all subraces are allowed to be balanced by the team according to power-level. As this is a level 8 (low magic) server, and we don't want to break the server. With that said, even if you are approved for a subrace, the team has the ability to revoke that right should the player not be properly representing their race. We understand that roleplay can always shift the nature of your character. That is always welcome on this server. However if you applied for a subrace with the intentions to stay true to their lore, then please respect that.

Note: When creating your subrace, type the name of your race in lower case in the subrace section of race selection. This will enable the system to automatically change your stats.

Unique Races & Backgrounds (Platinum Level)
Want to play a subrace that isn't on here? A special race from a sourcebook, or looking to know what Server-Lore-Specific Races and Backgrounds are available? Our Team will work with you to receive any application as long as you have a Forgotten Realms source and its power level aligns with our Level 8 server. If you see any subrace being played by a PC OR EVEN AN NPC you have a right to request it. Here's a few examples of some novel, approved subraces:~Gnoll ~Natural Lycanthrope ~Lizardfolk ~Ghostwise Halfling ~Yuan-ti ~Dragonblood (No you do not start with wings. No one starts with wings.) Here's a few examples of some backgrounds approved:~Sirandian War Veterans ~Sirandian Royalty ~Viper Members ~Soul bound/ Soul Stolen characters If you would like one of these backgrounds or races or are stewing on one of your own but don't know where to start, ask someone on the Team for help.
