So it appears I've been blowing lots of people's minds lately with small ways to improve or ~~**HACK**~~ Neverwinter Nights Most of them are just going into your Escape menu IG and clicking Controls-> Change Key SettingsWalking Without Search: Here you can do things like assign Drive Mode Forward to your F key or whatever you please. I like F because it's so close to WASD. It will then make you walk instead of run with that key- no need for Search mode to stay chill . Screenshots: Also in the Key Settings... it's usually assigned to X, and when you hit it, it saves a screenshot of the entire game menu in your 'screenshots' folder in Neverwinter Nights. Pressing the H key will also hide the HUD and keep things pretty. Chat Logging: Go into your Nwnplayer.ini and change the ClientChatLogging=0 line to =1. More instructions here. Now all of the roleplay from your chat screen will save into the Nwclientlog1 file in your 'logs' folder of NwN. It records from the time you log in until you log out- be careful and save it as a new named file before you start the game up again because it will wipe it clean. There's some over programs that actually save them from each day for you but I can't be assed to look for that rn Windowed Mode (I sure hope everyone knows about this?!): Instructions Here
Double-Clicking Potions: I didn't know this for gd years. My ass was just right-clicking that shit. If you double click it real fast you'll drink it. Double Clicking Removes/Opens Items from a Bag/Chest: My ass was dragging them, or right-clicking... Moving inventory tabs with [ and ]: [ will go up a tab and ] will go down a tab Assign Roleplay to a Quickslot: This is kinda cheesy but maybe there's an emote your character constantly does but you can't be arsed to type it out. Go to an empty quickslot, Right click, go up to Custom Text Macro. The first line you input is a label, the second line, will become what your character says or emotes out loud. Give it a try. DMs Disabling Pause: I sure do SEE A LOT OF ACCIDENTAL DM SERVER PAUSES!!!!! Haha you can change it away from the spacebar into something rare, using Change Key Settings. Nothing else is coming to me rn but I'm sure it will. Please feel free to add tips.

For windowed mode, NWN:EE now allows for easy Alt-Enter to switch between the two, and can easily just resize the window as you wish.

If you (like me) play NWN on a toaster, and your FPS drops a lot when entering areas where the game has to render a lot of entities (Fyn Island, I am looking at you), try this:
- In your Documents folder, find Neverwinter Nights, then open your nwnplayer.ini and copy the following line there: Max Memory Usage=64
What it does: Sets the size (in megabytes) of the memory cache used by the game for resources. Increasing this number may improve performance, but likely only up to a certain point. (Tests conducted by BioWare indicated that performance increases stopped at 32 while playing the official campaigns.) The default value (if this setting is not specified or is larger than the available memory) is the larger of 16 and one-eighth of physical memory.

Spam the laugh emote about 20 times then tap the W key to step forwards and enjoy.
